The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) provides up to $1,158 worth of dental care over two calendar years for eligible children aged 0 to 17. The cap is set by Services Australia and indexed each January — the $1,158 amount applies to benefit periods starting in 2026.
We bulk bill all eligible CDBS services, so there's no out-of-pocket cost for approved treatments. The benefit is per eligible child, not per family.

Your child may qualify for the CDBS if they are aged 0–17 for at least one day that calendar year, are eligible for Medicare, and you or they receive an eligible government payment such as Family Tax Benefit Part A.
Services Australia checks eligibility automatically each year and notifies you through myGov. Not sure where your child stands?
If your child has used up their cap, we'll always tell you before any treatment starts and itemise any private fee in writing.
